LATCHFORD Albion’s Daniel Brown has been named as captain for the North West Men’s League England Lionhearts tour.
Loose forward Brown will lead the touring party on their trip to Jamaica during which the team will play three Test matches and compete in a Nines tournament.
He is not the only person from the Victoria Park outfit to be heading to the Caribbean on July 1.
Head coach Martyn Ellis has been named on the coaching staff while hooker Phil Woollacott will also be among the playing squad.
Before they leave, all three will be aiming to help Albion mark their return to action with a victory in NWML Division One.
They have a tough task in store, though, as they travel to in-form Haresfinch on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.
