Woolston Rovers 10 Drighlington 26
ASSISTANT coach Rob Campbell says composure was the key element missing as a much-changed Woolston Rovers side slipped to defeat.
They led 10-8 at half time but could not hold onto their advantage as Drighlington took full advantage to inflict only a third loss of the season upon Rovers.
Sean Withington and Lewis Hoarty grabbed tries, with the latter also adding a conversion for the Green and Golds, who were missing 10 regulars and head coach Mal Holt due to a combination of weddings and holidays.
“I cannot fault the effort of all the team but unfortunately a few errors have cost us,” he said.
“The lads who came in did a sterling job and maybe with a little more composure, we will have got the win."
“It is a minor setback for us and we will be looking to bounce back immediately from this.
“We are still in a great position in the league and we move forward with plenty of confidence.”
