THERE are two new members of the Warrington Wolves Hall of Fame.
Gary Sanderson and Bob Anderton were inducted on Sunday to celebrate the service to the club of both men.
Having joined the club in 1985 from Thatto Heath, St Helens-born Sanderson was part of the 1986 Premiership final-winning team and the side that won the Lancashire Cup under Mike Gregory in 1989.
Overall, he made 236 appearances for The Wire, scoring 14 tries before leaving in 1995.
It is 100 years since Anderton was appointed as Warrington secretary in the first season after World War One and was responsible for the signings of many players over his 40-year tenure.
He went on to become chairman of the RFL in 1942 and will go down as one of rugby league’s greatest administrators.
