AS a memorable season draws to a close, Rylands made sure they ended the campaign by bringing another trophy back to Gorsey Lane.
Having already secured the North West Counties League First Division South title, Blues took on Longridge Town – First Division North champions – in the inaugural First Division Champions Cup.
They assumed control early thanks to goals from Ste Wolhulter and player/co-manager Stuart Wellstead before Tom McNamara added a third after the break to secure a 3-0 victory.
The sides will meet again in the Premier Division next season, but Rylands will go into it on the back of a league and cup double
