Warrington u15 22 Waterloo u15 0

A SUPERB display of try-scoring from Rorio Zheng led Warrington RUFC’s under 15s to a third successive Lancashire Cup.

The winger was in red-hot form to score four tries – the first coming as he finished off a flowing attacking move before he claimed Jack Bailey’s perfectly-weighted kick for his second.

Another handling move led to Zheng completing his hat-trick before some excellent defence kept Waterloo off the scoresheet.

The second half proved to be a battle of the forwards until Jim Hartill intercepted a pass to send Zheng flying down the wing to put the game to bed.

Rorio Zheng leaves the Waterloo defence in his wake for his fourth try

"We have an awful lot of quality in the team and the lads work very hard on their game, fitness and basic core skills,” coach Dave Hartill said.

“Despite their success, there were a lot of nerves before the game as they were determined not to let each other down.

“This team spirit was epitomised by the effort the lads gave in defending their line and always turning up for each other."
