IN keeping with a summer of cricketing competition between England and Australia, Warrington Cricket Club are preparing to welcome some visitors from Down Under.
The club have confirmed the Crusaders Australian touring party will play two fixtures at Walton Lea on Tuesday, July 2.
Some of the best young Australian talent will be on show and spectators are welcome to come down and watch the action.
In terms of this weekend’s fixtures, the bad weather put paid to Warrington’s fixtures but Grappenhall did manage to get their third team’s T20 Cup group match against Macclesfield played.
Stanley Pennington and Tom Clarke took two wickets each as the visitors posted just 103 – a target Grappers reached easily for a six-wicket victory.
