ANYONE fancy a one-mile swim, every hour, for a full day?
That is the challenge two Warrington Masters Swimming Club members have just completed.
Rob Waterhouse and Judy Brown tackled the gruelling 2swim4Life event, organised by former Warriors of Warrington and Warrington Masters swimmer Lesley Zimmerman, at Guildford Lido.
They each swam one mile of the outdoor pool on the hour every hour for 24 hours, completing 24 miles in total.
The event involved contending with cold conditions overnight, along with increasing fatigue.
Also competing at the event was Warrington Masters Swimming Club member Jackie Carribine, who managed 13 miles before having to retire due to sickness.
The event has raised more than £5000 for The Mix, a support network for children and young people under 25.
