WARRINGTON Wolves need more of what powerhouse prop Sitaleki Akauola offers them, head coach Steve Price says.

The Tongan came in for his first appearance of 2019 at Hull KR on Easter Monday and impressed in The Wire’s 54-6 victory.

He crossed for the last of his side’s nine tries and did enough to earn one Man of Steel point from the attending voting panel member.

Plenty of fans have been calling for the 27-year-old to be more involved, but Price revealed one of the reasons why he has missed out.

“He had to get some game time back at Rochdale but he was unfortunate to cop a bit of an MCL knee injury, which knocked him around for a few weeks,” he said.

“He’s back healthy again and I was really pleased with his display at the weekend.

“He carried the ball strong and did everything we asked of him to the level and above.

“We know when Sita’s at his best, he’s off the back fence and scattering bodies.

“That’s what we need more of.”
