RYLANDS secured promotion to the North West Counties League Premier Division in stunning fashion today - and some of the best-known names in English football were on hand to congratulate them.
Their 5-0 win at Stone Old Alleynians sealed the First Division South title in their first season since being accepted into this level.
Word of their triumph reached England's all-time record goalscorer, whose agent Paul Stretford is the owner of Rylands Recreation Club.
Now with DC United in America's Major League Soccer, the ex-Manchester United star was keen to convey his congratulations.
Congratulations @RylandsFC. Well done lads 👏🏼🏆
