WARRINGTON Wolves first-team squadman Ellis Robson has gone out on loan.

The 20-year-old loose forward Ellis Robson has joined Betfred Championship side Dewsbury Rams on a month’s loan ahead of a busy Easter schedule.

He is in the frame for matches in Lee Greenwood's team at home to Batley Bulldogs tomorrow, Friday, at Leigh on Easter Monday, at Widnes on April 28 and home to Toulouse on May 4.

Robson has come through the club’s scholarship and academy and is a former captain of the under 19s team who is yet to represent The Wire at first-team level.

He has made a number of appearances for Warrington's partner club Rochdale Hornets this season.

Robson has a background in rugby union as well as the 13-man code.

The former Audenshaw School pupil, who collected Lancashire and North of England honours in the 15-man game while studying, progressed within the Sale Sharks Player Pathway through his mid teens.

But Robson also starred for the Oldham St Annes amateur club and was initially scouted by Super League's Wigan Warriors.

He later made the decision to commit to an academy contract with The Wire after impressing head scout, Peter Farrell, in his school games for Audenshaw.

Robson was a member of the the school first XV that successfully reached the fifth round of the NATWEST National Competition in 2016-17.

Formr Wire winger Gene Ormsby and current full-back/winger Jack Johnson also hail from Audenshaw School.
