STEVE Price wants his Warrington Wolves team to continue to grow from the crushing win against Hull FC, starting against London Broncos.

He also feels a clash with promoted Broncos, who have already pulled off decent wins against Wigan, Leeds and Wakefield this year, at The Halliwell Jones Stadium tonight, kick-off 7.45pm, presents his players with a fresh set of challenges.

“I thought it was a complete performance against Hull,” he said.

“We played some really good, ruthless rugby for 80 minutes.

“The middles laid a really solid platform to start the game and the halves got off the back of that.

“Their decision making around numbers and space, and being able to execute the plan, was first class.

“Now it’s about backing up the performance.

“We’ve set a marker down now and it’s about continual growth within the team.

“There’s a lot of confidence within the playing group and the boys are really enjoying their rugby.

“We expect a really energetic London Broncos.

“They play a style which suits their needs.

“We’ll come up with a bit of a plan to hopefully combat that.

“They’ve got some good individual players.

“Eddie Battye’s doing some really good things, then there’s Éloi Pélissier at 9, Jordan Abdul at 6 – especially with his kicking game – and also the young full-back Alex Walker’s been making some handy line breaks and scoring tries of late.

“We’ll be well prepared and it’s important we put in a really disciplined display of rugby this week.”

He also acknowledges there are still areas of improvement.

“In terms of attack against Hull it’s the best we’ve played for a long, long time,” he said.

“Defensively, too, we can still get better and we’ll continue to keep working hard on certain aspects.”

The manner of victory at Hull will have set alarm bells ringing for future opponents looking at ways of stopping The Wire from playing the way they want to.

“We just take one week at a time and I couldn’t really care less about what opposition coaches or teams are thinking about us,” said Price.

“It’s all about continual growth and keep being the best we can be and that’s all we strive to be at the moment.

“All I can ask is to continue to keep working hard, keep challenging each other on and off the ball and in effort areas. That’s all we set out to do.”
