WARRINGTON Wolves will be without the services of Jake Mamo against London Broncos on Friday.

Mamo started a game for The Wire in the centres for the first time against Hull FC in Super League Round 8, switching from the wing after Ryan Atkins withdrew on the day of the game through illness.

But the Australian limped out of the action and went for scans over the weekend.

“Jake Mamo won’t play this week," said Wolves head coach Steve Price.

“He’s been doing some really good things of late and it’s just unfortunate he picked up an injury at the back end of the game.

“It’s just a bit of an ankle ligament sprain.”

Atkins is back in the mix though.

“Rhino was back in training on Monday," said Price.

“He was a bit crook over the weekend.

"He dropped a few kilos and is back to his normal weight now.

“He’ll come into consideration this weekend.”

Bryson Goodwin is also in training after shaking off an ankle injury and Sitaleki Akauola is tearing up trees to get his first run in primrose and blue this season.

Matt Davis is eager for his Wire debut after returning from a four-week loan at his former club London Broncos.
