MATT Davis has returned to Warrington Wolves from a four-week loan with his former club London Broncos.
The back-row forward produced a Herculean defensive effort in his final outing with his previous employers, making 53 tackles in Broncos' home loss to Huddersfield Giants in Super League Round 8.
“That’s what we expect from Matty," said Wolves head coach Steve Price.
"He does all the little things right. He does the dirty staff, which we really appreciate.
“He really performed strongly over those four weeks.
“I’m really pleased for him to get Super League experience and he comes back to us a better player.
“He’s been buzzing this week.
“His attitude is always first class when he’s been around us.
"He’ll be missed down in London. He drives good standards.”
The Nuneaton-born 22-year-old, yet to make his competitive debut for The Wire, comes into the reckoning with the rest of the squad to feature against London at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday.
"I’ll make more of a decision with my 17 at the back end of the week," said Price.
Meanwhile, Luis Johnson's four-week loan with Widnes Vikings ends this weekend, though he is not in consideration to play for them at Batley Bulldogs on Sunday.
