TWO youngsters from Warrington Gymnastics Club rubbed shoulders with the best in the country over the weekend.
Lauren Jones and Lauren Sims represented the club at the Gymnastics British Championships at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena, where they competed against Olympic medallists among others.
Jones, 16, finished 44th in the senior all around competition which included a 15th-place finish on beam while she ranked 22nd on the uneven bars.
Sims’ performance saw her rank 41st all around for the juniors as the 14-year-old came 22nd on vault, 31st on the floor, 44th on beam and 49th on the uneven bars.
