Warrington 20 Penrith 20
DARREN Norman rescued a share of the spoils for Warrington with the final kick of the game on Saturday.
With his side three points behind and with time already up, Norman decided to play it safe when Warrington were awarded a penalty rather than go for the victory.
Norman had earlier kicked a further penalty and two conversions after Nathan Beasley and Tom McEniff had scored first half tries for the hosts at Walton Lea Road.
“This was game we could have won but, in the end, we were probably lucky to come away with a draw,” head coach Andy Roberts said.
“We have a week off next Saturday but then face an exciting end to our season.”
Warrington’s next game sees them travel to the Isle of Man to take on Douglas on Saturday, March 23.

SKIPPER Craig Byrne said there were “no excuses” as Warrington’s second string were well-beaten by Sandbach.
The hosts raced into an early 24-point lead before Jack Stride’s try got Warrington on the board before the break.
Olly Hudson and Dan Johnston crossed after the interval, but Sandbach stretched away to a crushing win.
“No excuses – on the day, they were just too good for us,” Byrne said.
“I couldn’t fault the effort of every Warrington player on the field.”
