APPLETON Tigers enjoyed a successful evening at the Cheshire Women’s Cricket League awards dinner, picking up several awards.

The club were honoured to receive prizes for both the first and second teams, while individual players were also named as stand-outs in their field.

Captain Jess Lewis proudly collected the three T20 trophies won by the first team as they dominated the shortest format of the game.

Lewis picked up trophies for her side winning the West Division, the T20 Cup and Knockout Cup.

Judith Barnes picked up two awards for the club’s second team as they won the Division Three East shield, while she also picked up the individual award for the most wicketkeeping dismissals in that league.

Appleton almost completed a clean sweep of the Division One individual awards, with Emma Barlow picking up the batting and fielding prizes while the wicketkeeping award went to Eloise Jackson.

Only the bowling award eluded the Lyons Lane Club, with Nathalie Haslam and Sami Fowler coming joint-third.

Haslam did finish with an individual prize as she scooped the T20 bowling award, with the fielding honour going to Georgia Heath.
