THE Stuart Middleton Foundation Warrington Cup will be decided tonight.

Crosfields take on Woolston Rovers to earn the right to be called the best amateur rugby league side in Warrington.

The game will take place at The Halliwell Jones Stadium and kicks off at 7.30pm.

Soap will naturally start as favourites given that they ply their trade in National Conference League Division Two – one league higher than Rovers.

However, Crosfields head coach Ian Boden says form and any inequalities will go out of the window tonight.

“It’s a big occasion for both teams,” he said.

“In these games, form goes out the window. It’s your local cup competition and local rivalries.

“I’m expecting this to be another hard match up.”

Woolston are the defending champions after beating Latchford Albion in last year’s final/

Rovers boss Mal Holt says the Monks Sports Club outfit are excited about the chance to retain their trophy.

“Hopefully it will be a great spectacle with both sides playing good attacking rugby,” he said.

“It will be a stern test for us but one that we are very excited about.

“We have a strong squad to choose from, as will the Soap, so it will all be down to which sides controls the occasion the best.”

The North Stand at The Halliwell Jones Stadium will be open for supporters to come and watch the game.

The Brian Bevan Corner entrance will be open from 6.15pm. Entry costs £3 adults and £1 juniors/concessions.

Tomorrow, the Stuart Middleton Foundation Warrington Alliance Cup Final will be held at Victoria Park.

Crosfields A face off against Burtonwood Bridge, with the game kicking off at 7.30pm.
