RYAN Atkins has thanked the Warrington Wolves fans for their support at Magic Weekend and on the whole.
The Wire barmy army travelled to Newcastle in their legions hoping to see their heroes achieve a Super League era club record 11th successive win but were left disappointed by a below-par display in a 38-10 loss to Wigan Warriors at St James’ Park.
“We can’t thank the fans enough for supporting us, especially when we lose as well,” said the Wolves centre.
“They stay behind and give us a clap. They were just as gutted as us but to see them praise us it means a lot and just gives you that bit of extra oomph and want to get back to winning ways next week.”
The Wire host Hull FC at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday.
