GAVIN Brown netted five times as Warrington Hockey Club’s seconds defeated third-placed Deeside 7-3.
Matt Petitt and Noal Phillpotts also got in on the act against a resurgent side that had won nine of their previous 10 games.
The men’s firsts were 3-0 up against Blackburn at half time but lost after conceding four times in the last 15 minutes.
Adam Garrod and Ben Vickers continued their scoring streaks before Simon Mason sent an aerial down the wing for Rob Powell to cross into the D where Andy Gould deflected home. But it all went wrong in the second half.
