KEVIN Brown and Matty Russell have returned to Wolves’ 19-man squad for Thursday’s game against Widnes Vikings.

Brown has been absent with a foot injury, while Russell has been struggling with a medial knee ligament strain.

Neither player has featured in the Wolves team since the 44-4 loss at Huddersfield on June 4.

However, there is no place for Kurt Gidley and Ben Pomeroy in the squad for the game at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

After Friday’s victory over Wigan, Wolves boss Tony Smith said Gidley had picked up a calf injury during the course of the game.

Pomeroy was also spotted limping on a heavily-strapped right knee during the 16-10 victory at the DW Stadium.

From the players available, Russell looks set to line up on the right wing, with Peta Hiku moving inside to right centre.

In another straight swap, Brown looks likely to partner Dec Patton in the halves against Denis Betts’ side.

Wolves squad: Ryan Atkins, Kevin Brown, Daryl Clark, Mike Cooper, Ben Currie, Brad Dwyer, Peta Hiku, Chris Hill, Jack Hughes, Benjamin Jullien, George King, Tom Lineham, Declan Patton, Joe Philbin, Stefan Ratchford, Matty Russell, Andre Savelio, Ashton Sims, Morgan Smith.
