LYMM Hockey Club women’s firsts picked up another vital three points against Whitley Bay and Tynemouth’s seconds on Saturday.
Early pressure paid off for the hosts as a goalmouth scramble was turned home by Hollie Acklam and, despite coming under attack late on, it was enough to secure a 1-0 victory over North Hockey Women’s League Division One's bottom side.
Goalkeeper Amy Heywood was named player of the game after a superb performancebetween the posts.
The win was Lymm’s second in a row as they sit 10th in the table ahead of a tough trip to Alderley Edge’s firsts on Saturday.
