Littleborough 2nd 14 Warrington 3rd 5
TOUGH conditions and a heavy pitch proved as much of a hindrance to a lightweight Warrington side as their much heavier opponents on Saturday.
The hosts rolled into the lead midway through the first half as their pack rumbled over between the posts, taking advantage of their superior size.
Warrington pressed on and were rewarded when Max Caldwell got on the end of his own kick to score in the corner.
Eventually, though, the conditions told and the Littleborough forwards dominated enough to seal the win with a second try.
WARRINGTON’s first team are back in action on Saturday when they visit struggling Altrincham Kersal in North One West, kick off 2.15pm.
