WOOLSTON Rovers under 14s have been preparing for the new campaign with a spot of judo.
The players spent a day at Warrington Warjukwai Judo Club in Latchford on Saturday as they step up their training for 2017.
Team manager Steve Price says his players enjoyed their day and hopes it can become a regular feature of their pre-season training.
“It was a great afternoon and all of the lads really enjoyed themselves,” he said.
“We must say a massive thank you to Dave Nichols for allowing the lads to come along and they certainly had a great time.
“They all represented the club very well and hopefully it is something that we can repeat in the near future.”
The team are on the lookout for new players to join them at training, which takes place on Thursday evenings between 6 and 7pm on the astroturf pitch at Orford Jubilee Hub (pitch 8) and on Sunday mornings between 10.30 and 11.30am on Hillock Lane, Woolston.
If you are interested in joining and are in Year 9 at school, please contact Steve Price on 07963 303787 or e-mail steven757price@btinternet.com.
