WARRINGTON students have been selected to contest the English Schools’ Track and Field Championships in Gateshead.
Cameron Meakin is lined up for the senior boys’ 110mH, while Katie Lowery is expected to feature in a middle-distance event in the same age group this weekend.
At boys’ junior level, Sam Evans is marked up for the 1500m and Joshua Herrington for the javelin.
Thomas Baines, 400m, Josef Murphy, shot, and Jack Stubbings, 1500m, are named for intermediate boys’ events, while for the girls Lauren Ferris is set for the 1500m.
The Grange School’s Fisayo Williamson-Taylor, a member of Warrington Athletics Club, is also to compete in the intermediate boys’ 100m.
