WARRINGTON Town officials have secured a potential Championship winning party day at home for the team and supporters.
The Yellows, needing four points to secure the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North title, may and could still be in the position of securing the title away from Cantilever Park but club chiefs have raised the odds of the glorious moment occurring on Warrington soil.
A fixture swap now means if Stuart Mellish's side secure at least a point in next Saturday's trip to third-placed Glossop North End then they could be crowned champions in front of their own fans at Cantilever Park when they host Prescot Cables the following Saturday, April 16.
The game in between, away to Radcliffe Borough, has been switched from Tuesday, April 12, to Tuesday, April 19.
A further factor is nearest rivals Spennymoor Town's result at Droylsden on Tuesday. Anything other than a Spennymoor win will mean the Yellows could clinch the title at Glossop.
After yesterday's 2-0 defeat of Brighouse, the Yellows remain 12 points clear of Spennymoor.
Town have made the home clash with Prescot Cables all-ticket.
Tickets are on sale at the club, Loushers Lane, tomorrow, Monday, from 8am to 8pm and on Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm.
