THREE of Warrington Athletics Club's veterans picked up a team silver medal at the British Masters 5k Championships in Horwich.
Tony McCarthy, Dave Gill and Mervyn Ward were narrowly beaten to gold by Oxford City in the 55 to 64 age category on Sunday.
They ran times of 18mins 55secs, 19mins 17secs and 19mins 22secs respectively.
McCarthy and Gill finished in eighth and ninth in the over 55s, while Ward was ninth in the over 60s.
In the over 50s age group, Stephen Watmough was 12th, finishing in 57th place overall in 18mins 46secs.
