RYLANDS started the season with a bang on Saturday, inflicting a crushing 155-run defeat on opponents Norbury in Cheshire Cricket Alliance Division Two.
Winning the toss and batting first, the hosts posted 201 for 8 from their 45 overs, stand in captain Phil Mansfield top scoring with 64.
Chasing 202 to win Norbury were then blown away by opening bowlers Richard Buck, 5 for 12, and Sujith Nair, 4 for 26, to ensure that the 25 points stayed at Gorsey Lane.
Next up is another home fixture against Frodsham.
In Division One, Glazebury won by six wickets at Westminster Park.
With Park out for 155 the visitors eased in for the loss of four wickets.
