Burtonwood Bridge 14 Wigan St Judes 19.

A WORKMAN-LIKE Burtonwood Bridge side struggled against a more motivated Wigan St Judes team in a very entertaining North West Counties Challenge Cup game.

Bridge opened the scoring with a penalty goal converted by winger Martin Corker, 2-0.

St Judes then scored a converted try to go 2-6 up.

Bridge hit back immediately with an excellent try, scored by player coach Stuart Worsley, converted by Martin Corker, giving a half-time score of 14-6.

In the second half, Wigan took their two chances very well, converting both of them and also kicking a drop goal to nail victory by 14-19.

Man of the match for the Bridge was Stuart Worsley.
