COACHES, players and fans have their say on Warrington Wolves’ Super League match against Salford Red Devils.

Post-match press conference: Tony Smith: “It was the 58th minute, when we were down to 12 men, before they scored and that showed some signs of our commitment and dedication to our try line. They broke us a couple of times but we managed to cover it up. Our scrambling defence was outstanding.”

Changing rooms: Ben Westwood: “First games of the season are always tough. We count for every minute and we were disappointed they scored in the last few minutes. But when you’re disappointed like that it shows that we’re trying to defend our line like we should do.”

Twitter on match: Ben Harrison: Great start to 2015 against a strong Salford side. @ratch06 and Kevin Penny were outstanding.

Andrew Voss: So pleased to hear Ashton Sims has done well on his @SuperLeague debut for @wolvesrl v @SalfordDevils. Will be a crowd favourite!

Chris Hill: Tough start to the season yesterday but got a good result with a lot of improvement still in us roll on next Friday #hullvwire

Facebook on match: Ryan Atkins: Nice way to start the season, a top win over a very strong Salford side and I don’t have to do a naked run!! Body is in bits today though!

Josh Griffin: If you find my lungs on that field this week I’d like them back please.

Cas Lou Macca: They smashed it!

Lee Van Dusen: The fans need to start turning up again and not just for finals and the club needs to do more to get fans back in with adverts posters etc around the town and put something worth watching at half time.

David Tarbuck: Hard work lads but a win’s a win n Facebook on Sims: Richard Clancy: Absolute beast. Targeted and baited all game yet kept cool and never took a backwards step. Aggressive and calm, and like Chris Hill led the team from the front and by example.

Martyn Toft: He was the last guy back in the sheds after the match, signing and posing for pictures with the fans - top bloke!

Christopher Ashton: From a playing point of view he is the aggressive player we have needed since Moz left. He beefs up our pack and with Hilly will take us forward all the time. On a personal note we as a family have become good friends with Ashton, Nicole and kids and the guy is one of the nicest men you could wish to meet and we have made friends for life. He adores the fans and appreciates what they sacrifice to support the team.

Stuart Wilson: The best front row since the Boyd, Tamati, Jackson era. Sims is awesome.
