LYMM seconds moved five points clear at the top of the table with a win over second-placed Wirral in the North West Standish Media Services Division One on Saturday.
Lymm took the lead when the referee awarded a penalty try for a foul on John Long, who would have scored, with Tom Shard converting.
Martin Lott extended the lead to 12 points before the break but this time Shard could not convert from out wide.
The visitors were reduced to 14 men soon after the restart and Shard converted the penalty to put the home side into an unassailable lead.
Wirral scored their only try of the game moments from time.
Lymm make the short trip to Warrington on Saturday.
