A SLOPPY performance by Moore saw them suffer a humbling defeat when they welcomed high-flying Liverpool Collegiate in South Lancs/Cheshire Division Two on Saturday.
A series of errors from led to four penalty kicks by Collegiate, to which they added two unconverted tries to lead 22-0 by the break.
Despite Kershaw spending time in the sin bin, Moore grabbed two tries early in the second half to close the gap.
The remainder of the match went to-and-fro, with both teams attacking and defending the length of the pitch, but Collegiate added gloss when they crossed the line twice late on.
Moore will look to bounce back when they travel to Oswestry on Saturday.
