WARRINGTON Athletics Club’s annual George Edwards Memorial Meeting was held at Victoria Park on Sunday with many of the club’s athletes taking medals.
Ben Robinson completed an under 13s boys double victory in the 100m and 200m while Eleanor Baker achieved the same feat in the under 17s women.
Jack Stubbing smashed his personal best time in the 800m under 15s boys with 2mins 13.6secs as he led Sam Rostron and Luke Gamble to the first three places.
Other winners from the club were Ruby Smith, 150m under nines girls, Adam Shaw, under 13s boys shot, Natasha Ryder, under 13s girls 70m hurdle, Michael Lynch, under 15s boys 80m hurdle, Isabelle Trevithick, under 15s girls 1500m, Megan Kettle, under 15s girls shot, and Cameron Meakin, under 17s men’s long jump.
Fisayo Williamson-Taylor also impressed having moved up an age group to compete in the under 17s men’s 100m and finishing second.
