Woolston Rovers 46 Latchford Albion A 10.
WOOLSTON Rovers started off the new year by maintaining their 100 per cent league record and they will be tested to the full in Saturday's top of the table clash at Leigh Central.
Rovers are level on points with Central in North West Counties Amateur Rugby League Division Six and have a game in hand after Saturday's success.
Woolston built up a 24-6 lead before half time thanks to tries by Paul Berry, two, Mike Leicester and Chris Mellor, who added four conversions, while Russ Parkman crossed for Latchford's early score.
Tries from Mark Roughneen, two, Chris McKean and Hutchinson extended the lead before Latchford took advantage of Mellor's cooling down period in the sin bin to score the final try.
