Eccleston Lions 22 Rylands A 16
RYLANDS’ performance improved 100 per cent on their last outing in this Division Five clash at St Helens.
The hosts were first out of the blocks and soon built up a 14-point advantage by way of three tries and a conversion.
The Sharks made some positional changes which certainly made the difference and eight minutes into the second period loose forward Matty Ryan went over and Sam Brinksman added the goal.
Brinksman was on the scoresheet again bringing the score to 10-14 with his own try.
Two quick tries from the Lions going into the last 10 minutes put the game beyond the Sharks but not before half back Chris Meacock had the last word by going over for four points.
Ben Kenwright, Mike Lagar, Matty Ryan and Chris Meacock were best for Sharks.
