TONY Smith has confirmed that his captain Adrian Morley will make his comeback from a bicep tear with Swinton Lions this weekend.

Gary Chambers' Swinton side host Clive Griffiths' North Wales Crusaders at Leigh Sports Village on Sunday, kick off 3pm, with Morley following the pattern set by Lee Briers and Chris Bridge in building their match fitness in the Championship rather than jumping straight into Super League.

Smith erred away from throwing Morley into the fire against Hull, despite being named in the 19-man squad.

"He hasn't played for three months so throwing him into a high intensity game like that would be a bit unfair," he said.

"He'll be working hard on Sunday to get some of the rustiness out of his system but physically he's in great shape and been working hard.

"It's just the timing issues and the skill aspect of the game tat he needs to get right and I'm sure it won't take long for him to do that.

"We're looking forward to having Moz back available to us."

Morley will play for Wolves' partner club Swinton on dual registration forms.

It will be his first appearance in the Championship, as it was recently for Briers in his comeback match that ended in victory against Whitehaven.
