A THIRD successive defeat was inflicted on Glazebury’s second XI by their Rylands counterparts in Cheshire Alliance Division Four.
Half centuries from John Acton, 52, and Simon Green, 61, provided the backbone of Glazebury’s innings before being dismissed on 176 in the 45th over.
Sujith, 5 for 37, and Joe Threadgold, 3 for 14, did the most damage with the ball.
A flying start by the Rylands openers saw them take control but it was Threadgold’s destructive innings of 60 which took the game away from Glazebury.
The returning Wayne Hargreaves, 3 for 14, was the pick of the Glazebury attack.
