JIMMY Waldron’s pace bowling set Warrington’s third XI on the road to a five-wicket victory against Upton.
He took 6 for 65 although a middle order rejuvenation allowed Upton to post a reasonable 199 for 9 in 42 overs.
Openers Tom Corroboy, 54, and Alan Hitchmough, 37, added 72 for the first wicket in Warrington’s reply.
That was followed by Sam Pennington, 45, and Mans Naseem, 26 not out, adding 55 for the third wicket as Warrington passed the home side’s total at 203 for 5.
