IF you're building yourself up to February half term, this might be the perfect day out.
The Art of the Brick, a globally renowned touring exhibition, is offering children free tickets with every paying adult.
The Art of the Brick exhibition opened in November and features just under 100 pieces of art as award-winning artist Nathan Sawaya showcases stunning sculptures made up of more than a million Lego bricks.
Heralded by CNN as a global 'must-see exhibition', the exhibition has been touring around the world for the past five years before choosing to reside in Manchester until April 2020.
Speaking at the time Nathan Sawaya said: “My goal with this exhibition, when it first debuted in 2007, was to elevate this simple plaything to a place it had never been before.
"I use Lego bricks as my medium because I enjoy seeing people’s reactions to artwork created from something with which they are familiar. Everyone can relate to it since it is a toy that many children have at home.
"The museum exhibition is accessible because it engages the child in all of us while simultaneously illuminating sophisticated and complex concepts.”
The exhibition, which has broken attendance records around the globe, has takeb over Unit 5 at Great Northern Warehouse in Manchester.
Prices currently start from £9.50 for children, £14.50 for adults, concessions at £12.00, and a family of four ticket priced at £42.00.
But from February 10 to 23, you can book online one free child’s ticket with every paying adult ticket.
