THE former World of Furniture Warrington store has been transformed into a one-stop shop for all things leisure and lifestyle.

Lineva House, on Milner Street, has brought a number of Warrington businesses under one roof after the furniture store relocated to Lythgoes Lane.

From dance and martial arts classes and a gym to a hair and beauty salon and fight equipment shop, nine businesses have so far set up shop in the former warehouse since March.

It is also expected that a children's play barn will be moving into the new facilities in the near future.

Director of family-run company World of Furniture Sandy Glover said: "I had the idea to turn it into this after I heard about a survey on the radio.

"Four years ago, furniture was at the top of people's spending list but leisure and lifestyle is now the number one thing people are spending their money on so it seemed like a good idea."

Fight Equipment UK is just one of the businesses to relocate to the new site.

Owner James Neary, who moved the company to Lineva House around eight weeks ago, said: "We used to work online but it's good to be able to have a base where there is other businesses close by."

Paula Rothwell, who owns Diamonds and Pearls with her business partner Susan Raey, added: "It' kind of like a community here. If I need any advice or to ask someone about something then they are all happy to help and there is always someone to speak to."
