OPENINGDOORS, the Warrington Guardian's charity of the year, urgently requires volunteers for the first base night shelter on Suez Street.
The shelter provides overnight emergency accommodation for people aged 18 and above.
A spokesman for the charity said: "Becoming a volunteer at the night shelter would be an exciting and challenging role.
"There would be major interaction with the service users, identifying priority issues, taking personal details, preparing and serving meals and preparing beds and general housekeeping."
Prospective candidates for a volunteer post will be offered training, will be Criminal Record Bureau checked (CRB) and asked to supply two references.
Once on board, you would have regular support, training and information and any travel expenses paid for.
If you would like to fill your spare time, give something to the community and help support homeless people find a way out of feeling isolated and lost, then volunteering with openingdoors could be just for you.
