AN unsigned Warrington band are set to appear on the soundtrack to a star studded Hollywood movie after being spotted by a music mogul on the Internet.

Exile Parade have been approached to feature in Danny Roane: First Time Director which stars eccentric American comedian Andy Dick as well as A list actors Ben Stiller and Jack Black.

Lead singer Lomax said: "It was very strange to get an e-mail one day telling you that your music is wanted for a Hollywood film.

"At first you think it's a wind up or something but then, when we found out these people were who they said they were, we talked to them to sort everything out.

"It's just incredible that someone sitting in their office in Los Angeles can do a simple search on the Internet and bring up your music.

"A few years ago this wouldn't have been possible but it just shows what can happen if you're lucky enough for someone to stumble across you."

The film, set for release next year, follows the fortunes of Danny Roane, who attempts to get his turbulent life back on track by directing his own blockbuster movie only to fall off the wagon in dramatic circumstances.

The band, comprising of Lomax, aged 24, of Chester Road, Phil Hennessey, aged 24, Dave Hennessey, aged 26, both of Walton Heath Road, Chris Owen, aged 22, of Oxford Street, Latchford, and Gaz Mutch, aged 18, of Lovage Close, Longbarn, have revealed Get Your Gun Boy as the song likely to feature on the soundtrack.

Lomax said: "They thought it would fit the film well because of the lyrics and the way the tempo of the song changes so dramatically.

"It's all a bit surreal but we're really pleased to be a part of it."

Exile Parade release a limited edition Get Your Gun Boy vinyl single on Monday and will play Cairo bar on Sunday night.
