STAFF at Great Sankey-based United Utilities gave up their time to help clean up the home of Warrington Town.
Twenty staff descended on the Abacus Solicitors Community Stadium, formally Cantilever Park, to give the ground a fresh new look.
Team leader Andrew Cunliffe said: “It has been great to come down and help to support our non-league club. It is a great set up they have here and we are only too happy to get out of the office for a day and provide a service to them.”
The group cleaned changing rooms, cleared weeds, painted and helped to clear the car park in preparation for the next home game.
James Standing, the club’s community development officer who is sponsored by the company, added: “The help this group has given us in the past and today has been fantastic and we cannot thank them enough.”
