WARRINGTON’S junior bowlers treated an assembled crowd to an exciting spectacle in their finals day at Orford War Memorial.

Bishop siblings Mike and Sophie both celebrated success in their respective finals, the former springing a surprise in the opening match of the day when beating last year’s winner Kyle Chapman 21-8.

Sophie doubled the family tally against Maro Gibson in the Cadet final, with Joe Yule winning the Cadet Merit when defeating Luke Gatley.

Chapman bounced back from his earlier defeat to win the Christine Seymour Youth final against Liam Sullivan, who got his revenge in the Les Green final.

The Felicity Farrell pairs competition was won by Jack Hallet and Yule, who beat Sullivan and Jack Penketh in the final following their defeat of Jade Chapman and James Maher in the semi finals.

Dylan Wright and George Yule had an excellent tussle in the Newcomers Merit, George getting the upper hand to win by a single chalk.

The Gatley brothers failed to take their chances in their respective finals, with Matt losing 21-17 to Scott Brown in the Ken Wightman Trophy and brother Luke finishing runner-up to Jack Penketh in the Lilian Green Trophy.

The Irene Parfit Pairs was won by Mike Roberts and Louis Allen, who beat Jordan Yule and Scot Brown 21-13.

Sisters Amy and Chloe Mackintosh fought out the Newcomers Consolation final, Chloe clinching a 21-14 victory, but it was Alex Garcia that walked away with the main prize when defeating Millie Yule.

The Ron Green final was another tight affair, with Mike Yule just getting the better of Tom Chapman, 21-20, in a great battle.

Finally, Mike Roberts won the Christine Seymour Junior Trophy when defeating Tom Maher 21-9.
