POLICE say that a fire at a home on Ramsay Close was started deliberately.
Officers and fire crews were called to the house fire on Friday at 3.40pm.
The property was empty at the time but police believe materials were set alight and put through the letter box.
DC Rob McLoughlin said: “Fortunately nobody was injured but the potential repercussions could have been very serious had the fire not been quickly extinguished.”
An investigation is underway. Anyone with information can call police on 101.
