One of world’s leading ballet companies, Moscow City Ballet, arrives at the Opera House, Manchester to present Romeo & Juliet on 15th and 16th March. We have teamed up with organisers of the show to promote their competition to give readers the chance to win a family ticket to the show on Thursday 15th March, 2012.

The world’s most famous love story Romeo & Juliet, is set to Prokofiev's dramatic score, a masterpiece of 20th century music. All the hustle and bustle of Renaissance Verona is brought to life in this powerful production. The ballet follows the fate of the star-crossed teenage lovers from their first meeting to their untimely and tragic death.

Classical dance is experiencing a dramatic resurgence thanks to film and television inspiring a new generation of fans. New audiences are now discovering the intensity, drama and beauty of classical ballet when it’s performed live on stage by an artistic and gifted company. Moscow City Ballet is brimming with some of Russia’s best young dancers, outstanding principals, stunning soloists and a sublime corps de ballet, all underpinned by the dynamic vitality of a live orchestra.

The Moscow City Ballet will also be performing Swan Lake on Saturday 17th March, 2012 at the Opera House, Manchester.
