“MY job on match day is to make sure all the preparations are right.
“I come down earlier and like to watch the under 18s or under 20s (he was watching the under 18s match with Wakefield as we spoke).
“All the day-to-day running of the club is left to Andy Gatcliffe.
“On a match day we like to chat with fans and see if there are any problems. There very rarely are, but I spoke to some last year who said there was no clock, so we installed one so fans could see how long was left.
“The current stadium expansion is a vote of confidence in the club and the town and in the club.
“And it will help bring bigger games to the stadium such as matches in the 2013 World Cup.”
