PRINCE William and Kate Middleton have been propping up the bar at a Birchwood pub in preparation for the Royal Wedding.

The pair have been accused of being a bit wooden in front of the camera as a number of punters have taken the opportunity to be snapped with the life size cut outs at The Peacock, in Birchwood shopping centre.

Karina Rogers, manager, said: “Since my invitation was obviously lost in the post for the big day we decided to bring the wedding to us.

“They have been really popular with everyone taking pictures with them.

“Someone even tried to steal them!”

The pub will be streaming the wedding on computers in the bar followed by a garden party.
