GREYHOUND campaigners have been flooded with offers from kindhearted residents after a Sunday newspaper exposed on canine slaughter factory'.
People living in Cheshire have been outraged after learning of a County Durham farmer who exterminated up to 10,000 unwanted greyhounds, after their track careers ended.
And the local branch of Greyhound Rescue North West has seen its helpline flooded with calls from anxious animal lovers since the Sunday Times revelations.
The organisation has recruited a number of volunteers in the Warrington area and is keen to expand its activities in north Cheshire.
