CHILDREN at Woolston High School have voted for a move to a new school.
The youngsters gave their responses to the secondary review before breaking up for the summer holidays.
During the day, the youngsters took part in a host of events led by the school council, including live music and an It's a Knockout tournament.
The afternoon finished with the pupils writing their Wish for Woolston the results of which created a patchwork petition.
And each pupil wrote to the council's director of education Tim Warren, giving their views on the plans.
It could see Woolston amalgamated with Padgate High School and a new school built at Hillock Lane.
Rob Savage, from year nine, said the youngsters at Woolston wanted the new site.
He said: "This would give both schools the opportunity to have a genuine fresh start and improved facilities."
