Steve Ganson
ASSAULT allegations against rugby league referee Steve Ganson have been dropped by police.
Merseyside Police confirmed on Tuesday they would not be charging Mr Ganson, from St Helens, in relation to an incident in August and he has been released from bail.
His arrest at the time saw him miss officiating at the Warrington Wolves v Catalans Dragons Challenge Cup semi final clash at the Stobart Stadium in Widnes.
